Advertisement Analysis
The color that I chose to present was Grey (Black & White). I have Noticed that Black & White is most; I used in high end fashion magazines such as Chanel, Calvin Klein, Guess, Long Champ. etc. The first design element I noticed about the ads is proximity, especially if it is a male and female. As shown in my fist two ads (Long champ and Calvin Klein), the closeness of the two implies that there is a relationship and the color of the photo gives its a bold and sexy feel that can attract both male and female. The second Design element found was contrast. As shown in the Chanel pictures, the contrast of the black and white makes the picture eye catching. The white background soft background complemented with the bold and rich black color makes both of the colors eye catching. Lastly, the design element(s) that found was repetition and alignment. In the two Chanel ads with the two women, they are both wearing the same outfit, doing the same poses, and standing in the same background; they are also perfectly aligned with each other and the bars they are standing behind. This structure gives gives the photo a sexy vibe but also shows a sense seriousness and authority.
